Two dozers on left are beginning the clearing of a hill.  The blades are raised as they back up the hill, to set up to make the next pass.  The right picture shows the last of the brush being cleared.

 
Plows coming in at night, pass through a Montaignard Village headed for camp.
 
Passes were made as quickly as possible, in many cases leaving larger trees standing until there was enough "cleared space" to drop them easily.
 
 
 
 
Clearing a road near the boarder, on the left is the prior to starting the clearing.  On the right is midway through.
